THREE

I guess before, I just assumed that people thought as I do.  I could drive around town, go about my day, and assume people have good hearts. In my town, people have not taken down their Trump signs nor have they removed their Trump bumper stickers and I see the discussions on Facebook that blow my hair back. Right now, it is the situation about refugees that just confounds me. Why are we SO consumed with fear over the terrorism? People die of medical mistakes.A LOT of people die of medical mistakes. People die in car accidents. People die of drug addiction. People die in wars that we are fighting over oil and opioid production. People die when the USA bombs their villages. People die of starvation. Why are we so terrified of terrorism that we have lost of all sense?

Do we not know what a refugee is?
 ref·u·gee
ˌrefyo͝oˈjē/
noun
  1. a person who has been forced to leave their country in order to escape war, persecution, or natural disaster.

A refugee, according to my understanding, is a person who is FORCED to FLEE for their lives. We care about people who are forced to flee for their lives. We aren't afraid of them. We give them blankets and food.

That's what I thought.

Where America's Terrorists Actually Come From - The Atlantic

https://www.theatlantic.com/international/archive/2017/01/trump...ban.../514361/
4 days ago - Over the last four decades, 20 out of 3.25 million refugees welcomed to the United States have been convicted of attempting or committing terrorism on U.S. soil, and only three Americans have been killed in attacks committed by refugees—all by Cuban refugees in the 1970s.

That's from The Atlantic, which I think is real news?

3 Americans have been killed in attacks committed by refugees. THREE.

I don't mean any dishonor to those who were lost. I'm just saying that this is no reason to not accept suffering people into our country.

Traumatized, homeless, hungry people are not something that we robust, smart, capable Americans need to fear.

That's what I thought.

Love and light,
Your friend,
Hil

  1. I find it sad that for the first time in remembered history, a politician is keeping his campaign promises - and that politician is Trump, the one politician we wouldn't WANT to keep his campaign promises.

  2. I find it sad that the media is so corrupt, and the sheeple so sheepy, that they just follow any shiny line of bullshit tossed out to the airwaves. But, a lot of people don't. I have got to focus in the direction that I want to go.
